Objective: In commemoration of
Republic Indonesia's 59th Year of Independence.

Driving seemed effortless last Saturday night as the roads were unbelievably clear (no doubt due to this). Jida and I drove down to Kuala Lumpur to went to watch this wonderful ensemble of Sundanese dances compiled in a cultural night organized by the Indonesian Embassy in Malaysia.

The vibrant colors of their traditional costumes, the amazing talents of the orchestrated angklung musicians, the energetic and articulate dance movements: all these and more reminded why this huge neighboring archipelago never ceases to amaze me.

Given my lens limitations, I sat at the very front of the audience and mustered ever last creative juice in my small pool of photography knowledge to best capture the night's ambience.
