Ahoy mateys! Welcome to JEJAK LANUN, a special feature on that pays tribute to the new movie Pirates of The Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest!

Last year we ventured the Klang Valley area in search of outdoor billboards for the movie Star Wars Episode 3; we called the project Perang Bintang. After a fruitful scout and being appreciated by geeky movie nuts worldwide, we jokingly planned to conduct a similar road trip in 2006 for the upcoming movie sequel to Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl. Before we knew it, summer movie fever rolled around faster than we could yell out "Arr!" - we readily manned our cameras and hoisted our drive-through toll scanner to pursue the lunatic excursion.

I confess to be a western-pirate-movie-lovin' mortal, and with JEJAK LANUN (a Malay phrase I coined up to mean "Pirate Steps") I celebrate my fascination for romanticized versions of silver screen sea bandits and mythical buried treasures (not that I condone what real pirates do)!

We covered about 80 kilometres and mainly searched in Petaling Jaya and Kuala Lumpur districts.

Arrrrr, let us now mark our trail of X's and go billboard-plunderin'! Hop aboard yer scurvies!
